So, I've been thinking about this and its bugging me. I've noticed that Halo 5: Guardians has a similar theme and seems to coincide or works well with the Destiny story.
In Halo 4, Master Chief is confronted with the Forerunners, and a conflict with the malfunctions of Cortana. Toward the end, you fight a GIANT BALL IN THE SKY; much like the Traveler in Destiny. Earth at this point is still at a struggle which is exactly the point humans were at in the beginning of Destiny. Another point I have is the title of Halo 5; the whole "Guardians" part. It could show the conflict of obtaining help for the human race back at home and the other spartan could be the controller of the Traveler of some sort. The new enemies come from the Traveler so the Covenant, brutes, or the flood etc are not present.
Just a curious thought, but most likely not true. Nevertheless, let me know your opinions!
