While Atheon is spawning in: "Ok guys. Whoever is on home team has to clear the supplicants on the side we're coming out. If they aren't dead at least tell us so we don't lose the relic holder coming out."
Everyone: "Ok cool"
Portal team leader: "Ok we're coming through. Everybody go cen *[b][i][u]BOOM[/u][/i][/b]* ... ter..."
*Guardian down*
Home team: Where is everyone? What happened? Where's our shield? We're getting killed!"
Dead relic holder: "Guys the supplicant killed us outside the portal. Warning much???"
Home team: "Oh yeah. We were shooting Atheon."
*7 more times later...*
Portal Team: "Guys... The F'ing supplicants... For the love of god..."
Home team: "-blam- this. You guys suck!"

Hahaha this. We had a good run going at Atheon and had one barrage of bullets to go for him to drop. 3 of us running back out with the shield and we hear 'don't come out yet, they're at the gate, stay in there a sec'. We run through. All 3 of us die. 'Guys, we told you they were there!' Team lols

Yeahs it's funny the first 20 times or so. After that it becomes eye rolling stuff. The best supplicant kills are when they come into the portals. I must have been standing too close to one and attracted a supplicant into the portal. I was just standing there waiting for the all clear and a supplicant came right in. I was looking right at it. "What th..." *BoOM!* *guardian down* "... [b][i]IS THAT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN?!?[/i][/b]" I didn't know they could cross the portals. Maybe glitches, but it was pretty damn funny. I'm now forever cautions of standing near the portals.

If its too hard for the relic holder to jump as soon as you enter the portal you need a better relic holder.

Good point: however, I'd like to go back to my original point. If the relic holder needs to jump then the home team missed their mark. The relic holder shouldn't [i]need[/i] to jump. Home team knows which side the portal team is coming out. The path should be clear. I definitely agree that simple actions on both teams pay big dividends, but one can prevent the other.

You can only rely on yourself in every raid because you control your guardian. I always take all these extra steps/actions to assure my safety because I rather be safe than sorry.

That's a great way to look at it. That's why I only raid with maxed weapons. Gotta assume no one is going to kill the praetorian for me, so I have to be ready to cover my end.
