Last night I finally met up with some people and was able to get through Atheon on hard. We tried forming a group for a while, and constantly came up against lvl 30's who would say, "I'm not joining unless your whole group is lvl 30." There's only one problem with that:
HOW THE HELL DO YOU ELITIST JERKS EXPECT 29's TO GET TO 30 IF THEY DONT HAVE ANY HELP?
I understand that 29's can't do it alone. With the damage reduction, and all the bugs(of which we saw our fair share last night) it would be nearly impossible for a group of all 29's to get through easily. But to say you won't participate because not everyone is lvl 30? Come down from your pedestal and rejoin the community.
We had 3 lvl 29's in our group, and eventually got 3 cool 30's to go with us, and were able to get through it. And I got the helmet, so I will be lvl 30 soon. And I won't be a jerk to lvl 29's who need a little help. Thanks to the players who don't look down at lower levels like they were never there.
They are not elitists, they are insecure. Those are the dudes that got carried through enough raids to get the gear they needed. They know they can't hold up in the raid and need more 30s to continue carrying them.
With light levels requiring gear and not xp, level does not correlate with player ability. A lot of people can get hard raid gear from joining their friends just before the drop. And there are a lot of solid 29's that just get screwed on drops and never get that last piece of raid gear.
