Seems like textures got a boost on the ps4. How has nobody noticed this?!

Totally with you here. As soon as I jumped into patrol I was like dang why does this look so good.
-
Right?
-
Texture upgrades would be far more than 2.44 GB.
-
No... They wouldn't. High res texture pack for Skyrim was around that size.
-
I didn't see a difference.
-
Patrol moon. That spherical building with smashed out windows. Notice the improved textures on the panels? This is a small example.
-
Honestly, it looks the same to me. Show a before and after.
-
How would I do that? Lol. It's not just textures either, shadows seem to be more contrast/dark.
-
How would you find a screenshot of Destiny? If there were graphical improvements they would have put them in the patch notes.
-
I read somewhere they were doing texture upgrades for PS 3. I'll try to hunt it down
-
They said they were doing a performance upgrade for the PS3. I can't comment on that though, I'm playing from PS4.
-
Maybe. Unless it was only for one console and not the other. Was there anything in their patch notes that validate a 2.5gb download? It's all code.
-
New sounds for a lot of different guns. New menu sounds. New reward sounds. New graphical icons. New animated icons for reviving and patrols. That much audio accounts for a large portion of the file size. The rest I'd speculate is paving the way for the upcoming DLC.
-
Also, the average song is around 3-5 megabytes. The small audio they added would be nowhere near that size.
-
3-5mb song? Only if it's a crap short radio edit and in inferior mp3 format. For real sound quality you're looking at around 10mb per minute of material. Just sayin' lol
-
Dunno for sure man, certain parts look different to me. /shrug

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:High_Resolution_Texture_Pack I'm noticing a difference on every map I visit, first was cosmodrome and now the moon.
