What is interesting is that there was a bit of chatter about the Companion App showing the Cryptarch selling R/L/E Engrams, earlier. Now, at least for me, the Tower Map and Advisors are both offline. Seems a little too much of a coincidence, honestly.
Perhaps this is what DeeJ meant by dropping hints about changes coming to the Cryptarch - specifically "still being a bit of a bastard"? Would make sense, if he was implying that the conversion rates were not changing, but he would be adding items that could be purchased to roll more frequently.
If that is the case, though, I hope that none of them are "cheap". Full glimmer cap of 25k for an Exotic, 15k for a Legendary, and 5k for a Rare "feel" right. Otherwise, people would just bitch about not "earning" those, either.

25k glimmer takes about 2 hours to farm.. They would have to raise the cap to 50k and charge that for it to be even remotely ok and that's still pushing it

Agreed. Either increasing the cap, or weakening the value of glimmer (through reducing drop rates/rewards) will effectively cause the same thing. Feel that it would be a logical progression to see all vendors get some sort of extended value. Right now, the roles that they play is really minimal.

My cryptard level is 43 and he is still selling white and one green. Ill start playing again if I can get something cool off him. Until then its back to Diabolo.

Don't take it the wrong way - but the loot system in Diablo is one of the main reasons that I quit playing that game. It is the pendulum swinging to far to the other end, for me personally. But yes, that was my point, too. Common and Uncommon are all he sells to anyone right now, regardless of level. Like all vendors, he outgrows part of his purpose fairly quickly - which is when he has nothing worth buying, as you level up. Only time I buy anything from him is if I am literally just points away from leveling him up. I'll gladly buy and dismantle ten or twenty Uncommons, if I need to - because it is quicker than going out and finding something for him to decrypt.

Level does not matter mine is 89 on my titan and 26 and 29 on my other two . Still gives and sells craps items
