Everyone who doesnt have Thorn is now at a seriously higher playing field than users who spent the time to fully upgrade Thorn for its use in the Iron Banner. This will be another topic that Bungie will ignore because the greater population doesnt care about Thorn
Lets say, Im hosting a Football game on Saturday, but we're missing half of our team, why would I start the game leaving all the players at a disadvantage? Wouldnt it make sense to reschedule the game?
Thorn's Damage over Time was decreased to 3 yesterday, rendering the gun completely useless in both PvP and PvE compared to many Purple and Exotic HandCannons.
Why would you intentionally ruin a gun right before the Iron Banner? The community deserves a response that is not "This is unintentional".. Your intentions are quite clear releasing a patch before the Iron Banner that breaks a gun.
*It was clear to the community that you lied to create a level playing field for people who did not spend the time to earn Thorn.*
If this is your true motive behind this, you should speak up without hesitation. Changing base gameplay mechanics is a not a wise decision for a company to take with their game in 2014.You will loose many dedicated players that log in to find the game is no longer the same game.
Do you understand Deej, or Bungie, what its like to spend hours upon hours playing a game, only to have all of your progress mean absolutely nothing? All your time spent is completely lost? Because this unintentional bug with Thorn begs thousands of people to ask themselves, why should I keep playing if my progress will be taken away?
I've played sense day 1, Ive had a lot of faith that you guys really care about the game and your userbase. How can I possibly think that now? I wish I could. We need an honest explanation of why you really decided to break a guns mechanics before the Iron Banner. Not a one liner "Unintentional".
