Good point: however, I'd like to go back to my original point. If the relic holder needs to jump then the home team missed their mark.
The relic holder shouldn't [i]need[/i] to jump. Home team knows which side the portal team is coming out. The path should be clear.
I definitely agree that simple actions on both teams pay big dividends, but one can prevent the other.

You can only rely on yourself in every raid because you control your guardian. I always take all these extra steps/actions to assure my safety because I rather be safe than sorry.

That's a great way to look at it. That's why I only raid with maxed weapons. Gotta assume no one is going to kill the praetorian for me, so I have to be ready to cover my end.
