Exactly but I always have the attitude of 'every man for themself'. In the end no one protects your guardian life as much as yourself. You can only rely on yourself in every raid because you control your guardian. I always take all these extra steps/actions to assure my safety because I rather be safe than sorry.

That's a great way to look at it. That's why I only raid with maxed weapons. Gotta assume no one is going to kill the praetorian for me, so I have to be ready to cover my end.
