These type of clever ideas that breath new interest and life into the game really ought to be considered.
I guess what it all boils down to is labor cost, and how much ACTIVISION will have to pay the programmers to add these interesting twists to the game, and whether or not it can be justified as a free patch, or a paid for future DLC.
Remember all video games are business enterprises first and foremost. What will people buy vs how much it costs to make determines profit margins.
The first question on any game developers mind will always be, "will these changes we make to the game yield more profit in the long run". If yes, then we can expect to see it happen.
