Currently users can sort the replies to a forum thread by Trending (the default option) and Oldest First by selecting our preferred sorting method in the upper right hand corner of any given thread. As we recently gained the abillity to see how many likes a particular post has garnered, I feel that a third option to sort a thread so that the Highest Rated comments appear first is in order.
In that regard, the Comment Sort feature will finally fufill the rule of three and users will have a plethora of ways of viewing a thread's comments. If they want to understand how the thread evolved from its genesis, they can sort by Oldest First. If they want to see the most recent activity, they can sort by Trending. If they want to see the most popular replies, they can sort by Highest Rated. I personally think I'd use a Highest Rated sort a ton, especially for some of the larger threads that are too massive to efficiently sift through for community consensus.
Would you use such a feature if it were implemented?
Edit: It would also be cool if the subreply chains were also sorted by Highest Rated so that the most voted content always bubbles up, if memory serves for example the Oldest First sort only applies to comments to the main post and not their reply chains.

Isn't there a highest rated option on the top-right of the forums?
