So, I'm on the last part for the exotic bounty to get Thorn, the exotic hand cannon. As I've seen and been told, it's arguably the best hand cannon in the game... making the bounties ridiculously challenging. The name of this post is in particular relation to one boss you have to kill during the bounty. The last part of the bounty for the weapon. In the bounty, you need to go to the Moon, where a new, particular strike has opened up. It's not entirely new, since you'll still be killing Phogoth, the Untamed in the end, but it introduces this little bugger right here, Xyor. Apparently his personality is the worst, because not only does he remain a bachelor (of course, assuming this is a male adversary, who's to say this isn't a female?) but you also have to kill him/it before killing Phogoth, but only after killing enough of Phogoth's minions to summon Xyor. Did I mention it's level 26 strike, with the epic modifier active? Now, to the point of this post. I need help. I tried to go it alone, since the game won't match make a fireteam for you (which makes sense since it's so unique) and couldn't even step foot into the first room. I'm a level 27 Titan with my Striker subclass completely leveled, and less than 10,000 experience to fully level my Defender subclass. I'm using a legendary hand cannon called "The Devil You Know" and an exotic sniper called "Ice Breaker". Both prove a bit frivolous, but the sniper does much better than the hand cannon. My next best weapon is a Shingen-E auto rifle fully upgraded. I also have the exotic chest piece "Crest of Alpha Lupi". Last but not least, I have a PS4.
