lol no, Timur's Lash needs Rangefinder and Flared Magwell. Rangefinder lets you have crazy accuracy, it already has high enough range that using this lets you get headshots without even trying. The reload speed is terrible, so Flared Magwell. It has no need for a stability boost, because the RoF is so slow that it goes back into position before you can even take another shot, adding stability is just a waste of a perk.

Edited by CaptainChortles: 11/21/2014 7:57:28 AMIn my experience using my old Timur's Lash with Rangefinder/Flared Magwell (quite a coincidence) during the Banner before rerolling it, the Range is already high enough; it's actually a bit higher than stock Lord High Fixer. You won't hit the fall off on most maps in most scenarios. Also, while Send It/Hammerforged claim to increase "accuracy" by increasing Range, this wording is misleading. Range only alters bullet spread when hip firing; its only purpose when ADS outside of Fusion Rifles is to alter the fall off distance. Beyond this, even for weapons that do get other benefits from Range, such as Fusion Rifles, Rangefinder actually directly alters the damage fall off and only adds around 6% to the raw Range stat itself. Also, if you take Timur's Lash and fire at the firecap into a wall, it does not reset completely between shots at all. Its RoF is slow but even so, it has one of the worst Stability stats of any Hand Cannon in the game. At least, I found it somewhat hard to nail consecutive headshots in PvP. Since Rangefinder has 0 effect the grand majority of the time, why not use Spray and Pray over it to open up the slot for Perfect Balance? Even if the effect isn't drastic, it'll be more than Rangefinder on all but First Light and it's pretty important when the TTK only really shines when you land headshots. Just my take on it. Mine now actually has Rangefinder/Perfect Balance/Luck in the Chamber, so if it somehow makes it more accurate, that would be nice. :)

I can notice a huge difference when I use rangefinder or not, it adds to accuracy as well, and it seems to 'snap' to peoples heads better than before (even with the sight that has enhanced target acquisition), when I don't use it I can aim at an enemies head from not even that far away and have it not count as a headshot, with it on it never seems to fail. I also am constantly moving my reticule, so the tiny amount it is offset when you fire a second time has already been accounted for by me aiming at their head again, to me extra stability would just be a waste at that point if I can otherwise counter one of the most major drawbacks of hand cannons, the reload time. I do get what you are saying though.

Well, if it does somehow alter the aim assist mechanics, then that is awesome, because that means Rangefinder will actually be really useful on my roll! I'll try out one without Rangefinder and then with and see how it feels. I don't really find the reload time of most of the Hand Cannons to be that bad with Reload Speed+ Gauntlets and Timur's Lash can usually down at least 2 people before reloading, but yeah, Flared Magwell is definitely a nice perk. Again, the perfect rolls are just what I would prefer could I freely select anything from the available pools.

That is a good point, none of my level 30 gear has increased reload speed with hand cannons so I really feel the slowness, especially with only 7 bullets. A magazine boost would have been good instead, hell there are a bunch of combinations that would still be a good roll. Pointing out some of the good ones was definitely a good idea to give people a heads up on what to look for.
