Now, I'm not sure if they accidentally took some of the iron banner stuff and put it in the crucible, but there are noticeable differances from before the update.
For instance; a level 5 getting shotgun kills from miles (bit of an exaggeration) and a level thirty with a shotgun cannot get a kill unless the level five is almost point blank from him. Another issue is the 'sliver'. The sliver is an issue I noticed appearing after this update. The 'sliver' is where things that would normally kill enemies are leaving them with a sliver of health. I have experienced this with myself and other players.
Why is this an issue? In a game with as many abilities as Destiny, that sliver of health can save your life, and land you some kills. Another like issue is where level eight enemies I.e. A shank with a fire shield, takes 10 hits to kill with an exotic weapon, like Thorn. Which brings me to my next topic.
Thorn is still not as good, even after the 'fix'. (But we all know how Bungie 'fixes' things) I am not sure with the other exotics because I only enjoy using hand cannons... until recently. When Thorn was nerfed and they started selling The Last Word at Xur's, hand cannons became a nasty taste in my mouth.
The Last Word is the epiphany of all newbs. This weapon defeats the entire purpose of a hand cannon. It's fire rate and almost zero recoil, mean it takes 0 skill to use. That really freakin' pisses me off. A bunch
of low level newbs running around two-shotting level thirties and three-shotting level thirties in less than a second.
Also, the way which you aquire these two weapons are entirely different. One (Thorn) requires time and work. The other (The Last Word) requires strange coins... which you can get from engrams... which you can get from standing in one spot and pulling a trigger. I would really, REALLY, like to see this re-balanced. That weapon (The Last Word) is not a hand cannon, but rather a noob tube.
Another thing I've noticed, is that although in the crucible, where armor and weapon advantages are disabled, it still takes much more to kill high level players-unless you're level 5. Which is why I wondered if iron banner data was transfered in the update.
Anyways, all of that to say, Destiny is a great game, but y'all broke it whilst trying to fix it. I will continue to play in expaectations of a fix. Unfortunately, if no fix comes I will leave Bungie forever (ok, maybe not forever). Just make destiny simple again. And NO MORE Over Powered weapons in the crucible. Please share to spread the word to Bungie's little ears.
