Are Titans the weakest in the Crucible, or am I just worse than I think?

I've tried Crucible over and over. My friends tell me it's fun, and that you have to get use to it, but they're playing as Warlocks and Hunters. I'm constantly being wrecked by players, that are mostly Hunters and Warlocks. Even thinking about it, I don't really see that many Titans in the Crucible. The Titan abilities seem to only really work in defense, even the Striker Subclass. Is any other Titan just getting destroyed out there? I'm good at games like Halo and Battlefield, and I'll admit, I'm not great at Crucible, but this is out of control! Does anyone feel the same? Are Titans a weaker PvP class?

I'm not the best at the crucible but I do have some tips that worked out for me (I usually come in with the top number of kills nowadays too but my k/d is only like 1.5-2.2). BUILD - Striker - I focused on armor and speed (extra armor because living 1-2 extra shots DO make a difference). -Death from above, transfusion, shoulder charge, pulse/lighting grenade - Catapult with agility works extremely well (I'm able to dodge incoming fire with this set up). WEAPONS -AR: Suros Regime (Maxed out and took the agility perk). I used the Rare Shingen-E before this and that's fine too -Shotgun: Got Invisible Hand (nothing special but took the agility perk on this too) -Machine Gun (I think I'm currently using Deviant Gravity. I picked this because of it's STABILITY, IMPACT, and RELOAD). ARMOR: Most important thing is Armamentarium (2 grenades). I took discipline gear for the other slots. CLASS ITEM: I think I'm using the Noyb Mark (or however it's spelled). I think it's really important that a titan shows off that he lifts and thus should wear a class item that most resembles a gym towel. This intimidates people. CRUCIBLE TIPS 1. Get into the habit of glancing at your radar 2. KNOW the map inside and out (especially where heavy ammo spawns) 3. Always try to stick with the pack (unless if in rumble). 4. When Shoulder Charging ALWAYS have your shotgun out. This is because sometimes you can come up on let's say 2-3 enemies, you shoulder charge one (instant kill). The other two will usually be a bit surprised, so you blast them with the shotgun (and let's throw a punch some where in here too). 5. WAIT for enemies NEAR cover when you see them on the radar (don't go rushing to the red area just because!) and if they're coming start firing at the area BEFORE you see them. This works especially well with SUROS since the bottom half of the magazine does extra damage. FIST OF HAVOC USAGE 1. I generally try to save this for when there are 2+ enemies together, but hey sometimes it's better to kill one and live. 2. Fist of Havoc + Death From Above AIMED at people picking up heavy ammo = forum crying. 3. Fist of Havoc + Death From Above AIMED at people picking up heavy ammo = forum crying. 4. Fist of Havoc + Death From Above AIMED at people picking up heavy ammo = forum crying. GRENADE USAGE 1. Defensive usage: When you see blips on the map, toss 2 pulses (with Armamentarium) to the left and right of that general direction. Even if both of them kill you, you've weakened them for your team who'll pick them off at least. 2. Defensive usage: Your health is in the red, toss two out (same as above) and get behind cover to regenerate. 3. Offensive: Toss them onto let's say a control point or a common camping spot before you charge in there with a shotgun and shoulder charge ready. EXTRAS TO CONSIDER -I'm thinking I might like weapon perks for drawing them fast -Rocket launchers are clumsy (if a teammate steps in front of you, you'll blow yourself up) -Many depend on heavy ammo for kills (including me when I started), once you get set up with primary and secondary weapons that AGREE with you, you will do better -Keep an eye on your magazine count for both weapons (radar and ammo are on the left so glance at both here and there). -Sometimes it's best to keep a weapon halfway at the magainze (if there's a bonus damage perk attached to the bottom half) -PVP is a skill just like everything else in life. Practice practice practice.
