Not to rag on any of you fab Hunters out there, but I think it is the weakest class. I made a hunter and got him up to about level 15 and I never touched him again. I had to go back to my warlock or even my low lvl Titan. The melee ability a for both subclasses are almost worthless. A throwing knife that does jack except maybe kill one weakened or low tier enemy. Or a lunge attack that is the equivalent of one standard warlock melee. The supers also need a little fine tuning (in pve). The golden gun can get rid of 3 smaller enemy's or 1 MAYBE 2 larger enemy's like a knight or Minotaur, and forget majors or ultras, you'll need all three shots for them. The arcblade can be used cautiously on mobs so you aren't over ran, but is useless against a boss(same with the fist of havoc but I digress). The hunter was seemingly designed with pvp in mind as their skills seem more sensible there. A ONE shot pistol against a guardian is much more useful than a one shot against a dreg or goblin. Arcblade, well...arcblade...I'm sure you all know how that works. Both subclasses also bring no type of teamplay to the table. The Titan has the ward of dawn, and the warlock has his zone control abilities and song of flame (+1 to any of you who still use song of flame). The hunter just, hunts. Sorry to any of you hardcore Hunters out there, if this may of upset you a little. I just was wondering what everyone else thought of the subject.
~EDIT~
I've played the hunter now a bit more as recommended by many of you. While I'm still about half and half on both subclasses skill trees, I'm still not terribly keen on the skills, and I have gone over them fairly well.
First off, golden gun still needs a pve buff. Shot a lvl 12 servitor at level 21, it survived, enough said
Second, the double/triple jump makes climbing stuff seemingly difficult cause I end up bouncing of a rock or some crap. That's probably just me though.
Third, while a good blade dancer can generate a good number of orbs in a group of lower tier enemy's, both the other classes have abilities besides just using a super to generate orbs. Not a major point, but one that was brought up.
Fourth, the throwing knife isn't bad, but I still find blink strike not particularly useful. The invisibility after hits can be nice, but void walkers grenade boost, the sunsinger and defenders overshield, and even the strikers raw damage are more useful most the time. ITS NOT COMPLETELY UNUSEABLE, but the other stuff is better. Also I'm just spoiled from the warlocks extended reach :P
And last, my hunter would probably be lvl 25-26 by now, but I can't really stand playing him for long cause I like having as much recovery as possible, and I haven't gotten upgrades for it yet, and I find it annoying. Also I don't have any particularly grand guns for him.
If you like the hunter then that's cool, you can play hunter. I'll play my warlock. I just like the other classes more and I just wanted to hear everyone else's opinions on what I thought. I don't HATE hunters or people that play as them.
And on a side note, thank you for reading, even though most of you seem to want to bash me bloody head, have a FABULOUS day.

It may be that you are forgetting invisibility ability. I have both max subclasses and I run bladedancer just because on numerous occasions I am the only one left alive and I go invisible and revive team mates. Even if only one person dies the other member can keep doing what he is doing without having to worry about me trying to revive whoever dies and also dying myself. I would consider that ability helpful for the team.
