So I'm getting an xbone for Crimbo and I'm wondering whether I should get a console-only bundle with games or a bundle with kinect and buy the games separately.
Finances aren't the issue here. Although obviously cheaper is better, I will pay extra for a kinect if I think it's worth it.

Don't get connect it's creepy. 1. It is always on and is always listening to what you're saying even if you xbox is off 2. It recognizes people and I see this going nowhere but to not allow us to share accounts anymore. 2.5. They filed some patent thing where it detects how many warm bodies are in the room so like if you want to watch a netflix movie but you have 10 people in the room they eventually will charge you more money to view it.

Definitely not

Not essential but I wouldn't want to be without it.

Edited by Reign of Bane: 11/23/2014 7:12:58 PMI don't have one but my friends do and they say it's worth it. They are not essential, but they say it's easier to navigate around. DVR, recording games you do not need one anymore. If your worried about privacy I guess you can unplug it when you turn it off. Works fine without, I have the White 500gb one . You will need external memory, if you like COD and are not interested in the Kinnect, get the Itb console that comes with the game included. You will still need more memory at one point, but that's a good starter. Only draw back with the COD console is it is around the same in the UK as buying a standard 500gb console with Kinnect an without a game. However we seem to pay more for everything here in the UK so you may get it cheaper where you live.

It's helpful. But it might not hear your voice all the time.

Kinect is really fun and helpful. :) had an xbox one since launch day

After having the kinect, i really enjoy it and thinks it makes navigation a breeze. That being said had i never had it i wouldnt feel like i was missing out on something.

Edited by Folk: 11/23/2014 5:05:30 PMIt's cool but they made some recent updates to the UI making it much easier to navigate without Kinect. It really depends if you like the idea of accessing anything on your xbox without touching the controller. Personally I use it to launch games, apps and turn my console on and off (since the kinect has an IR blaster built in, it can control your TV and stereos' power/volume as well) EDIT: motion control is gimmicky and not useful IMO

Edited by Goat Whisperer: 11/23/2014 4:03:53 PMDo you like the motion-controlled games or just the voice commands? Or both

I like my kinect
