Exotic weapons
I don't get a huge amount of game time so don't have any decent exotics. I've saved up enough strange coins to buy ONE from xur. Which one would you look to buy from xur if you could only get one? I'm thinking ice breaker would be the most useful but interested to get your thoughts.

Thanks for all the feedback guys think my mind is made up on the ice breaker, just gotta keep my fingers crossed that xur brings it to the tower in the next week or so. There are still 4 exoctics that haven't been sold yet so could be a long wait.

The top three that XUR sells though imo is Suros Icebreaker Gallejhorne I would pick these three if b I had to pick one and only one for each slot I have. Lastly, if you want to raid VOG and still only have one choice I would then pick Gallejhorne hand down over icebreaker, because with times vengeance the Wolfpack rounds upgrade rips through atheon.

1 ReplyIcebreaker is the only one that truly feels like an exotic weapon to me. It has been invaluable on Nightfalls and Weekly Heroic strikes.

I prefer the Pocket Infinity. Mainly because I'm a fusion rifle specialist. The charging feels comfortable to me, and I'm able to anticipate the charge time to surprise people with quick peak out and fire strategies. I feel like using it makes more versatile.

I regret not buying the ice breaker. Everyone in my raid group seems to have it and it helps them alot. I just use my hawkmoon to keep up with them. Keep in mind that special and heavy weapons cost like 16 or 17 coins (I can't remember) and that primary costs like 23 (again, can't Remember too well). I suggest to keep enough coins in reserve for the icebreaker, but continue saving up just in case he sells something that's hard to pass on. With xur selling the last word and mida multi tool lately, it's safe to assume that he's not rotating his stock on weapons.

Ice breaker opened the doors to me to be able to complete Nightfalls. It is also my main weapon against Atheon on hard raid.

4 RepliesAlright this purely depends on what you intend to do during your time playing, Suros Regime is good for PvP, the Monte Carlo is a good pve auto rifle, truth and ghyllahorn(can't spell for shit) are great seeking rockets(PvP and pve) icebreaker is a great sniper due to the ammo regen and void damage(great pve raid sniper) the last word and thorn(don't think you can buy then yet) were great hC until their accidental nerfs, but are still good none the less, the last word is great PvP HC but has a really low range but is the fastest gun in the west(lol jokes aside) thorn when they repatch it with the buff, will be an amazing PVP HC. Honestly you need to look it up...I personally had fallen in love with my two only exotics because of the challenge they posses which is the Monte Carlo and being able to take down Suros users. It all comes down to you what do you wanna do what guns do you prefer?

13 RepliesAll the exotics have their place if you fully level em what do you have I have hard light which is an exotic auto rifle. I thought it was crap at first until I unlocked the volatile light perk which causes bullets to over penetrate and bounce off walls now it killer in close quarters PvP and PvE

1 ReplyI got suros(maxed) thorn and bad juju for primary Pocket infinity for a secondary And the ghladdahorn (maxed) for heavy. I mainly keep the suros in hand, but if shit get crazy I pull out the ghladdahorn.

2 RepliesYeah these peeps r right, ice breaker is pure evil. I dont have it, aiming for it someday. I have to say though that i also want suros regime, i lust after it like my wife when she tries to distract me from playing with sexy stretches. Just one note i didnt see posted, i just bought the multi mida-tool from xur, holy shit, i took the hammer to the daily strike on level 28 as a level 27. Sick weapon.

Ice breaker is great because of the ammo generation. If you have another special weapon with the right type of damage that u need for some enemies. The ice breaker will let you regenerate ammo for that as well

Ice Breaker is a clear choice especially for Nightfall with Juggler active. A close second in my opinion is Suros Regime.
