What's more important is if you prefer "NYOO-KLEE-UR" or "NEW-CLEAR". Drives me nuts

There will be a mass meltdown There will be zombies Don't get zombies, switch to Direct TV

It's pretty good, unless you're Japan.

Edited by Recon Number 54: 12/4/2014 4:47:37 PMI am impressed and intrigued by the current developments in Thorium Reactors which eliminate many of the downsides of Uranium/Plutonium fission (meltdown, waste, cooling, size, etc) and could easily provide power for a village or sectors of a town/small city. I am extremely curious about Lockheed's work on a "fusion reactor that can fit on a flat-bed". http://aviationweek.com/technology/skunk-works-reveals-compact-fusion-reactor-details For me the fear and arguments against fission are like those who are afraid of air travel. Though it is proven that both fission power and airline travel are many times safer and less impactful than other methods of power-generation/transportation, there are still risks and when an incident with them happens, it is going to be high-profile and strike people emotionally. Even though the alternatives (coal, oil, even solar for power and automobiles for travel) cause more pollution per mile/kwh and cause more loss of life per mile/kwh.

We should have tons of nuclear plants in Mexico so should something go wrong it wouldn't be the worst place to have it happen. Nuclear power is as good maybe better than solar wind hydroelectric or any others

Edited by BARACK OBAMA: 1/27/2015 3:28:49 AMWhat we really need is nuclear fusion. That would really power things up.

I'm writing a research paper on it right now. Here is the break down, It can easily out generate coal and fossil fuels, but it is also environmentally friendly. Solar and wind sound cool but in America, which uses the most of those two than most countries, those only contribute to about 1% of all energy, even with all the media craze and government subsidizes. And here is another fun fact, people seem to think that electric cars are these zero emission solutions to global warming. Well if use electricity instead of gas, then the country will have to use more coal, which releases more pollution than oil does. And trust me you can't power millions of electric cars with renewable energy resources

This is one subject I don't know a lot about, and I'm not going to front and act like I know a lot about it. From my knowledge, other than nuclear weaponry, we're better off with it this technology than without it - especially due to the rise in population. There are other forms of energy that are less 'volatile' I guess you could say, but they don't even compare to what you get with one single power plant.

Thorium mustard rice

Definitely dangerous, but provides a lot of power

Not safe #Japan

As long as it doesn't injure anyone or anything I'm cool with it

I'M NUCCCCLEEEARRR!

What recon said.
-
As long as its far away and with experts that know what they are doing i see nothing wrong with it.

Probably one of the better choices for energy going foreword.
-
It's the best energy available to us right now.
-
Nobody knows about this? Come on
-
We should very much use it but we have to be careful with how much nuclear materials we use.
-
Excited for it, but proper care must be taken

You're dead.

Edited by Cultmeister: 12/4/2014 4:45:29 PMNuclear is the best alternative to fossil fuels if we want to be producing the same amount of energy quickly. Solar, hydro-electric, wind etc are better for the environment but we need a lot more of them to get the same amount of energy as a single coal burning station. It may be only a quick(er) fix, but it's better than burning fossil fuels all day long waiting for progress in wind turbines or solar power.

Had to do a whole project on energy sources junior year. Nuclear is our best bet for now to power the country if we wanna get away from oil and natural gas. But as soon as the technology is ready and efficient enough when it comes to other green resources we should immediately cut back on nuclear

Temporary solution.

really good, just hope it doesn't cause the earth to he unlivable. people don't realize how much energy it would take to replace it.
