With no signs of Raid matchmaking, the causal gamer such as myself will be leaving soon.
(I know this makes many of you happy)
You see, I am not a great player by any means, and while I'm not mad about leaving destiny, I won't be buying the DLC.
I just got the "charity" boots and gloves from IB. With an exotic chest piece, I have only a helmet to get to 30....
I will not be able to raid without matchmaking, so I wont be getting the raid helmet....If I cant get to 30, why get the DLC
Matchmaking was an oversight, no matter what you say. So its cool, destiny was fun for the most part...but I think in the next 2-3 weeks it will be over and I'll go back to Madden
Just an insight from a more casual fan to Bungie... I know your game is a monetary success, but you are leaving some money on the table with some of us.
-
Your just lazy....takes all of 2 min to find a raid team
-
You are obviously on the forums and know how to make posts. What's so hard about posting a "looking to raid" post? I get spammed with with invites minutes after posting
-
When soon is just not soon enough. When are you gonna leave? Go pollute some other forum. If you suck at the game, then just quit right?
-
Everyone saying use a forum, then why wouldn't a public list of raids in the game work? Give the raid starter the option to make his raid pub and allow people to search for it in game. People shouldn't have to go to a forum. This should be in the game.
-
Good luck beating a raid with a bunch of 26+ micless randoms.
-
So how can you post this prediction of the future here and not get a group for the raid without matchmaking? 1. You can write and speak 2. You have internet access 3. You might know destinylfg.com Whats the matter?!?!
-
VoG match making would be nice but it wouldn't work. People with no mics and possibly the whole group would be matched together, people could leave at anytime etc. Making VoG matching would be the opposite of what bungie intended the raid to be played like, they want communication and teamwork not silent lobbies with no communication whatsoever. Long story short it would be a mess
-
Let's see you wrote this at the place where most people go to find others to raid with. Your character is almost a 30 so you've put in tons of hours and which means you've raided before. I don't think that you are a very smart person
-
Anyone who complains like this is lazy and shouldn't be doing the raid anyway. You have time to get on the forms and cry but you don't have time to go on to recruitment page on bungie app to look for a team? Damn straight I'm happy get off and never come back you lazy little scrub

Edited by Killer4life7670: 11/24/2014 10:32:56 PMIf you can't dedicate 5-10 minutes to make/search for a post for the raid, you aren't dedicated enough for the raid. Simple as that. You're only hurting yourself, because the raid is some of the best content in the game, leagues ahead of strikes and story missions.
-
You took time to write this post. Take the time to request help.
-
Yayyy........maybe we can have a real game now. You know... With depth and stuff.
-
+5 tears
-
You need friends man
-
I'm agree with you. Im a hardcore pvp player. Good bye

Edited by Machetegun: 11/25/2014 2:09:44 PMIt's not about being "Casual" or "hardcore", rather it's about being lazy or not. Bungie has created a raid recruitment thread where you can link up with guardians in under 10 minutes. Other third party websites are available and Reddit has a subthread /r/fireteam I believe. Don't blame bungie for not putting in matchmaking.(which I believe would be a terrible thing) Quit whining about the lack of matchmaking and go join a casual clan, search for hundreds of other guardians willing to raid in the many services provided, or you can just leave the game over something that insignificant.

Its ironically funny how the devs alledgedly dumbed down the game for casual players and kids (kids as in10 to 15 year olds) just to end up making them leave... *sigh* see? This is why the demon/dark souls games are amazing, they stick to old school hard mode and more hardcore gamers, dang it bungie...
-
because you can get 30 with the dlc .....
-
-
Bump... This bungie is why you need matchmaking I thought you wanted our money!!
-
Are you on ps4?
-
Ill never leave!!!! Ha Ha Ha!!!!
-
You guys should try Far Cry 4 but be warned it will ruin destiny forever!! It has so much story, unique characters, weapons, and just flat out massive content destiny will look like a Wii game for 6 year olds not to mention a truly open sand box world that is almost 4x more play space than all the planets on destiny combined oh and did I forget to mention it has 3 different horde modes and you can build your maps with its own AI the map editor on FAR CRY 4 is so elaborate you can customize the smallest of details in your maps down to the half pack of cigarettes on a table in a dim building that you built so be warned although I highly recommend Far Cry 4 it will make your gaming instincts want to shred destiny from your library forever...

Destinylfg.net ....that is all
-
But... You're on the bungie site that has so many people looking for people to raid with... I just... Ugh.. -blam!-ing idiot..
-
I understand that it's the thought of having the option, but I don't think Raid matchmaking would be all that good of an idea despite what many people think. Imagine all the AFK players you'd get, all the squeakers, the no mics, those that don't know what they're doing and how to communicate, not to mention the players that would get frustrated and simply leave. No, the Raid doesn't need matchmaking, you need to find a small group of players that will Raid with you and take their time in explaining things to you. You have time to post on the forums, so surely you can find a forum post of people that have time to Raid. If you're on PS4 I don't mind doing the Raid. I have a few buddies that wouldn't mind either.
