With no signs of Raid matchmaking, the causal gamer such as myself will be leaving soon.
(I know this makes many of you happy)
You see, I am not a great player by any means, and while I'm not mad about leaving destiny, I won't be buying the DLC.
I just got the "charity" boots and gloves from IB. With an exotic chest piece, I have only a helmet to get to 30....
I will not be able to raid without matchmaking, so I wont be getting the raid helmet....If I cant get to 30, why get the DLC
Matchmaking was an oversight, no matter what you say. So its cool, destiny was fun for the most part...but I think in the next 2-3 weeks it will be over and I'll go back to Madden
Just an insight from a more casual fan to Bungie... I know your game is a monetary success, but you are leaving some money on the table with some of us.

When I started paying destiny I had one friend in psn through work. Now my list has grown close to 40 "friends"

Dude I'm not the best but there are several resources available to you for Raid help and people can teach you the strategy. I was not good at the Raid at all when I first tried it and just recently learned the mechanics of it and have completed it a second time. DestinyLFG.com This Companion App The Tower There are 3 right there in order of effectiveness. You aren't alone man and there are people out there that will be willing to help you improve. And if you got the IB boots, don't down it! You earned those things man. They aren't charity. I worked hard for my IB Boots and Gauntlets and they will help me in the raid. Don't give up man!

They gotta fix their connection shit. Ive even went to dmz mode and made a static ip for my 360... im not booted from live now but still kicked to orbit.

I've posted on the 360 raid finder forums a couple of times when it was convenient for me. Funny thing is that there are almost always people posting there. So just build a post on your phone notepad. I say notepad so you can just cut n paste in the future each time you repost. Structure it kinda like this: Level 29 Defender Titan or 29 void warlock. All maxed weapons: List weapons if they're worth mentioning: Gjallahorn, raid weapons once you have them... New to VoG. Have mic. Will travel. Gamertag/PSNid: Sgt Cabose Once you drop it keep the thread open. Watch for replies. Many players even post that they will work with new runners. It's not that hard to get a team together. I've had some great ones and some terrible ones. Even the bad teams have a couple of rock stars worth friending. Those guys become your core raiding group. Bottom line is you have to do a little digital leg work to make it come together. Should it have been in the game? Sure. Is it a pain? Yup. Is hard to overcome? Meh. If you're willing to dump hours into the repetitive strike playlist or crucible matches, what's 10 minutes getting on here and building a raid party? It gets you to do something you haven't done before 😃

Good more casuals maybe we can get shit done now
-
I was only seven shards away from hitting 30 and deleted the game with it's two prepaid content options. I was that disgusted..... Kinda the same thinking it took you this long to leave such a horrid money scam entrenched game as this.
-
Aren't you using a site/app with a recruitment forum? Although I have a regular few guys I run with, at least one or two of my raid runs are though here.. Even had a couple of groups one shot hard mode... Why not try out the recruitment forum before complaining about no match making. Never taken longer then twenty minutes to get a group.

Edited by Mango Smasher: 11/25/2014 2:46:57 AMYou're welcome to join my friends and I for a raid this evening if you're on XBL. If not check out destinylfg.com and hook up with a group there. A few jerks but for the most part all of the guys I've met that way have been really friendly. It's very easy as a solo player to find a group. Lots of people looking for only 1 or 2 more teammates.
-
Why do you need to raid a whole lot? Just grab one piece and wait for more charity gear.
-
Not for you but if you know anyone who wants to raid. Go to RECRUITMENT and you will find plenty of people to raid with
-
Just use destiny lfg. Its not hard to use.
-
So you don't have a smart phone or tablet were you can download the app and find raid groups?
-
Fine. You go back to madden
-
In no way am I a casual player but I think you should speak for your self and not all the other casual players
-
To be honest I was like you at first thinking I couldn't raid but it's very easy. Step 1 - go to recruitment forum Step 2 - place post full VoG run (console) need (number of players) Step 3 - in body list your name on the xbox or playstation and tell them to message you. It's that easy you will have a full raid group in minutes Or you can look for someone looking for someone and just ask to join I know I haven't really come across any jerks on xbox one so far raiding like this

(> ^.^ <)!!!!
-
Kk bye
-
Bro it's literally easy as shit to find people for raids just get on your computer and quit being lazy and stupid lol
-
if your on ps3 raid with me I have a 3 stike policy though aka 3 major fuc k ups and your out I dont care about minor wipes and its fine if you have to ask questions but stuff like picking up the relic and not knowing how to use it or leaving your post die picking up ammo on the other side of the map or taking chests before everyone is there is too annoying to tolerate
-
This. You pretty much have to talk money with them for them to pay any attention.
-
You can easily raid without matchmaking. Destinytracker.com problem solved.
-
True story

destinylfg.net and. com... -blam!- these snobs. Most are preteen anyways.
