With no signs of Raid matchmaking, the causal gamer such as myself will be leaving soon.
(I know this makes many of you happy)
You see, I am not a great player by any means, and while I'm not mad about leaving destiny, I won't be buying the DLC.
I just got the "charity" boots and gloves from IB. With an exotic chest piece, I have only a helmet to get to 30....
I will not be able to raid without matchmaking, so I wont be getting the raid helmet....If I cant get to 30, why get the DLC
Matchmaking was an oversight, no matter what you say. So its cool, destiny was fun for the most part...but I think in the next 2-3 weeks it will be over and I'll go back to Madden
Just an insight from a more casual fan to Bungie... I know your game is a monetary success, but you are leaving some money on the table with some of us.

Just buy an exotic helmet from xur. Done. Or are you still relying on an exotic from elsewhere? also finding raid groups is easy. There's always a group short one person that needs someone to join and play through. Just post in that section of these very forums. Or you can leave. Your call.
-
What system are you on? I'll help you raid.
-
You would quit the game if you got match making, only people with low raid experience would use that. It would be a bad time. It's not hard to find a group to take you in.
-
People who can't find raiding buddies just need to join a clan. Anybody on XBox who can't find raiding buddies can check us out - http://www.midlandbase.net . We run raids on the XBone and 360. We don't care if you've never raided before either, we'll be patient and teach new raiders. ;P

I don't understand what's so hard about spending maybe a maximum of 5min looking for a raid group and matchmaking isn't something feasible until vote to kick is added because almost guaranteed that a few people will afk and ruin the run.
-
I'm a casual gamer and I WON'T be leaving soon. Thanks

Edited by TheGreatGamer93: 11/24/2014 2:52:17 PMYou have a 360 or Xbox One? You can raid with us if you want! Also, if you want to, you can join our small clan "The Pumpkin Heads." That way you have a shot at the Achievement too. Also, we have like 6+ people.

Lots of posts about Matchmaking. Hopefully they see. Instead of leaving, maybe keep posting? Spread the word
-
If they did it you guys would just cry and quit anyway So long farewell gtfo

Yeah. I've actually been re-playing GTA more since it dropped than I have been playing Destiny. Sad really. This could be a spectacular game with some polishing. It's fun now, but there are enough issues that it just doesn't hold my interest. I'll still hop on every Tuesday and knock stuff out. But that's about it. I'm only an upgrade away from 28, but I really don't care if I ever make it to 30.

Well I don't want matchmaking with the raid because you can get as low as 27 I believe or 26 and I don't want that on the hard raid, it will just waste my time a long with the other people who are 29+. Also I wouldn't mind matchmaking in the nightfall/weekly. If you need help finding a group of people to do the raid just go to the community forum if your 29 you'll find hm raid, if you don't like going to this forum go to reddit and search /r/fireteams, hell send people a message who you want to do the raid with at the tower, don't invite them to "play destiny" just ask them "raid?". It's not hard finding a team, there is also twitch.tv just go to Destiny and find someone who has a ton of people watching and just post a message saying raid?
-
In addition to the forums, where I met a bunch of people to raid with, there are also websites to find groups. If you choose not to use these tools, buh-bye.
-
You could utilize the #Recruitment / #Raid forum and get onto a team.
-
Join a clan! I play a lot, but I definitely don't take the game seriously. I mostly play solo, but being in a clan makes it much easier to connect with other folks with your attitude. I've done the raid once, but with 5 guys from my clan who had all done it before. They were great: told me where to go & what to do but were incredibly patient. It's also handy for the weekly heroic & Nightfall strikes. Those are too hard for me to do solo, but now there's always someone looking to run through them. Seriously. If you're on PS4, look us up. Sentinels of the Future.

As you admitted, you aren't that great of a player. Matchmaking would be geared towards players like you. While you would be able to get in a group with match making, you probably wouldn't be able to complete the raid. This would lead to an outcry of how Atheon needs to be nerfed and oracles have too much health etc etc. This is the sole reason I object to Matchmaking. For any former WoW players, most would agree that Raid Finder(a Matchmaking system for the raids) destroyed the endgame and WoW has been bleeding subscribers ever since.
-
What system? Just make a forum post when your looking for people. Most of the time you get quick responses.

Edited by WNxChadzors: 11/24/2014 2:35:21 PMYa I foolishly bought the expansion pass before the game came out. I thought bungie was better than this. Can't even play the -blam!-ing game with all the disconnects and bugs. But they are sure -blam!-ing fast to patch an exploit. As if they thought this game has a future
-
Id be happy to help on psn if you need help or a team. But i agree matchmaking would save a headache.
-
How would matchmaking help if you don't like the random teams you find already?

(insert the leave then comments in 3....2.....1.....) lol
