A skilled 29 will struggle in the hard mode, take it from me. I wouldn't even attempt it as a 28 honestly :/ ask anyone whose tried it, they'll agree.

Well. Any ideas as to how to get any higher than 28 at this point? I was hoping I"d be able to scrap off some gear or something out of VOG. But it is becoming more and more rare to find any light level 30 gear.

What Vanguard gear has light level 30? From what I can see it is mostly if not all 27.

They don't, I think vanguard gets you to 27 or 28 maybe. Raid gear is your next step, normal mode. Is like to help, just filled up tonight. Message me on live :)
