This was the original plan for the game, from what I've heard. This is what crucible was supposed to be. But for whatever reason they changed it into what it is now...rather disappointing, I think.

Activision turned it into a COD clone.

Possible that it could be a DLC we have to pay for? Seems highly possible due to the fact that there was a lot in the game that was apparently cut out.
