With this thread I'd like to post a VoG 101. All of this is what I've found to work best for me. I, at the time of this post have 50 completions and all 3 classes 30 with max subs. Bring some void damage and heavy synthesis! Learn the Relic!! Default controls for relic. LB - shield / cleanse has a charge time. RB - melee will lunge you carefull around ledges. RT - Strong melee attack good to use mid air for an AoE ground slam and avoiding being hit by melee. Classes Titans Personally defender out weighs striker is most situations. Warlock Self revive especially on hard is just to good to not use. Hunter Gunslinger gives you the best perks for what you will be doing most of the time. Gunning vex down. Opening the Vault Hold the 3 sync plates locates on both sides and in front of the door. Each sync plate has 2 respective spawn points for enemies. They tend to alternate but not always. Usually one side will spawn a handful of smaller enemies, while the other spawns a preatorian. Middle tends to be the easiest because the spawn points are so far away from the sync plates. Defending the Confluxes We come into this fight and split up into teams of 2 (usually same teams we used for openinf). Best strat we found is each person finds a door where the vex walk from and you camp it, keep some cover close by though and beware the Templar will shoot at you. Oracles We split into 2 teams of 3 and go to each side of the platform. 1 person takes care of the hobgoblins that spawn on the floating platforms while the other two work Oracles. Or you can wipe and use the spawn platform to snipe the Oracles (icebreaker perfered) Templar Most teams just push him off the edge. You get an extra loot chest if you kill him without him using his teleport. Legitly we use 2 defender Titans to hold the teleport zone. While everyone guns him down asap. If you don't care about the chest then having your group hide behind the long pillar on the left side and shoot him whenever you can lower his shield with the Relic. Gorgons It's just a maze where you have to dodge patrolling harpies. If caught your whole team dies. Jumping Platforms It would pay off greatly to at least learn the first 3-4 platform jumps. But all 3 classes can kinda cheese across. Fist of havoc with DFA. Bladedancer can lunge across. Locks can float the whole way. Gatekeepers Our favorite strat is to do both sides at once. But this has to be done quickly because it gets pretty dicey outside the portal. Open both gates, one person steps inside and takes down their gatekeeper. Try to kill them at the same time because as soon as one dies both people will begin to go blind. Run to the top avoid the rest of the Vex and pick up the relic. once outside the portal we usually team up both relics and kill anything that comes to the conflux in the middle. Atheon At the start just stay hidden until he teleports 3 random people. Once this happens the team out side needs to open the portal to let them out. You can see what side they are on by checking your mini. There will be an arrow pointing in the general direction of the correct sync plate. Once the portal is open you can leave the sync plate and focus on killing supplicants. Stay on high ground because they will blow up if they can get to you. Inside 1 member will have to pick up the relic. While the other 2 start killing the 3 vex in the center. Please create a habit of taking these vex out fast, the relic guy can kill them but things happen, if the relic guy dies it's likely a wipe so just take them out. Shortly after your sent in Oracles will begin to spawn. You need to kill all the oracles and you only have a small window of time to do it. Once the oracles are all dead you can leave through the portal that hopefully has been opened by your outside team. Once outside jump to the center platform and unload on Atheon. Use your weapons because they are empowered by Time's vengeance and deal bonus damage. Rinse and repeat. I left out some of the small details to try and keep a general strat. If you have a seasoned raider in your team rely on him to share them.
