Any exotic sniper rifle or auto rifle will do. Been running legendary pulse and fusion rifles and I don't like using either. Also have a legendary shotgun too but has no range at all. I have my light beyond nemesis helm already.

No but it won't even take a decent chunk out of a thrall 4 feet away. What's the point if you have a fusion rifle? Makes the shotgun pointless in pve
