But this discussion is about Xûr. It's entirely possible that his loot table is weighted such as this, but without knowing, one assumes it's weighted equally.
The OP's math is sound for an equally weighted loot table. Only Bungie can confirm this though, and I wouldn't count on it.
Reading this thread has definitely lowered my faith in the future of humanity. Oh well, luckily the probability of my death is 100%.

Aye I know, but I would hazard a guess that judging by the frequency that certain items appear, that it is weighted in some way. I mean, we know the other rewards tables are weighted, its not beyond the realms of possibility that this one is heavily skewed in one way or another as well.
