Is vog worth it?
Watched it done a lot, done it once myself, in a good clan that walked me thru it as cool as possibly can be done. Is the experience of the vault worth it? Are strikes and PvE better suited to gain gear n stuff? Its at least faster.

With the right crew it is hands down the best part of the game. I've only done it 3 times and am itching to run it again

The VoG is basically all I do anymore. It is necessary to complete for raid gear that gets you to level 30. Besides that, It's probably the most fun PvE has to offer. Completed it on normal and hard many times. [u]Loot so far[/u] 1x titan helm 2x guanlets 2x chests 3x boots 1x another exotic, but I don't remember which one 1x plan c exotic fusion rifle 1x vision of confluence scout rifle 1x preatorian foil fusion rifle 2x preadyths revenge sniper 2x corrective measure machine gun 2x atheon epilogue auto rifle 3x found verdict shotgun 5x chatter white shader 3x XV0 time breaker sparrow 3x glass minuet ship 2x aspect of glass ship 2x Light of the Great Prism titan class item (mark) 1000000x shard 1000000x energy ...and some spirit bloom :)

I see all your points a respect what u say. I agree, i guess I'm pretty lucky in that my 1st n only raid garnered me atheons auto rifle with void damage (now I see how lucky I am with this piece considering I couldn't unlock the necessary kills with void damage in the crucible to achieve the thorn hand cannon). I also got kabrs boots, they look sick and surpass my iron banner boots, less than a week after buying those, sheesh. And...I also got the chatter white shader, apparently rare. Have to admit, I practically saw myself in the tower, armor, class n shader, so how rare is that? Oh well, still look n feel super sexy. Again thx boys, your feedback gave me a different perspective.

Hell yeah it is! The Raid isn't a level or a mode, it's an epic experience shared between 6 people. Get though it, it's awesome and I'm nearing my 30th completion

1 ReplyUmmmm Fu*% yeah it is. So far I've done the raid twice and have gotten Raid Boots Raid Gauntlets Praedyths Revenge - leg sniper Gjallarhorn - exotic rocket launcher Plus a good amount of energy and shards Oh yeah.... and I've made it to the end each time but I've never neath Atheon.

My first time i got nothing but shards and energy..second chatterwhite...third ice breaker and chatterwhite and tonight i got universal remote and chatterwhite! Lol id say its worth it!

Short answer: Yes! Long answer: It is the only way to hit 30 when Iron Banner isn't around. More importantly, the weapons you can get along the way are definitely worth it (and the ship is cool too). For me though the biggest reason is the feeling of teamwork with the right group while experiencing such a different set of game situations vs what happens in strikes.

I love the game play and I love the anticipation of the "possibility" of a great reward I love the necessity of teamwork and individual team roles. The Raid is like a separate game within the game. There's a bunch of armor and weapons that can only be attained within the Raid and it's such a satisfying feeling when you get that Raid Loot.

Only have done it one and I didn't even get to finish it but it was fun and you need a team that is understanding and not impatient as I learned it's easy to lose your way after the first two battles getting to the next place

There's nothing in Destiny I would rather do. I beat it for the 20th time last night. We started fresh on Hard and killed Aethon in 2 hours. It just stinks that you can only get drops once a week. RapturesNigh

Is VOG worth it? Absolutely!!!! If you don't run the vault your missing a huge portion of the game. I would say the main reason to play the game. Not to overstate it but imo the VOG is the best thing I've done in 30 years of gaming. Getting into a clan and getting a crew is the key to unlocking the fun.

Raid gear leveling to 30, weapons, but the 2 best things that come out of the raid a functioning team of 6 communicating properly and 2. A ton of experience, glimmer and a feeling of accomplishment. Good luck if you havent done it. I just did it on hard for the 1st time tonite. Never again......

VoG is worth it, especially if you can put together a fireteam to enter it with weekly. Great way to enjoy what else the game has to offer while making some new friends in the process. I run PUGs a few times a week after my initial raid with my team just for the practice and glimmer.

The guns from the vault are very nice and its a great way to get a big team together for some fun thats a little different from the grind, plus unless u like crucible its the only way to get to lvl 30
