Never received and Exotic Bounty

So a couple of my friends and i were talking about exotic bounties and the Thorn bounty came up. the main reason it came up is that i just recently completed it myself, and the discussion point was about how exotic bounties can force some players into game modes they just don't like to play. Thorn being the best example of this. I wont Rabble on but though id get others ideas on a change on who this could work better especially for those that don't want to grind out PVP to complete certain parts of the bounty.. As we all know Thorn requires 500 points in crucible. using only void weapons. this is for most people a grind an a half to complete. but can be done with time and patience. (and good friends) But for those that don't normally run PVP this task is very daunting so why no have an alternative option to complete the task but in PvE, i don't think this task should be any easier in fact perhaps make it harder. but something along the lines of 2000 Hive Kills with void would be a good alternative to running the PVP part of the bounty. Anyways just the thoughts of myself and a few others. thought id share and get others opinions. :) Rex Update: Great to see some good replies. To just quantify this as an option it's more about providing balance in how certain aspects of the game are completed. Restricting items to certain game modes is not a bad idea as it gets those that dont play certain modes to actually give them a reason to play them. But some people just don't want to play pvp or pve. So this is more about having options open. The thorn bounty is just an example. Others could be reworked to add pvp components as well for ones that don't so it gives the hardcore pvp players an option to gain weapons in their game of choice instead of being force to complete the bounty in pve.

  • I don't like pvp but it doesn't bother me that we have to do it for the bounties.

  • I would say no. I did it doing Control using a void fusion rifle and a machine gun. Took maybe 10 matches playing random people and that's cause I suck at Crucible. Beating that special strike right after was the hard part.

  • PVP sucks dick!!! I hate the PVP in destiny. If I wanted to play PVP I would've been playing cod instead. Jesus. And if I wanted to be forced none the less, to play PVP I still would've played cod. So -blam!- off Bungie and change some of the goddamn exotic bounty requirements. I full vote this because it doesn't affect PVP players, it simply allows PVE only players a chance to get a weapon that they want. Instead of trying to bust their ass in the crucible and waste time for an exotic they could've gotten in less time had it been kill 2000 hive (Example) using void. Let PVE players play how they want to. Instead of being forced.

  • Personally I'd rather never HAVE to step foot into crucible, but given the hybrid game type, and the fact that the bounties are doable in their present format(and also help with/teach you some other aspects of the game). I say leave em be.
