Ever consider they look at english and think wtf they write like that all the time or just sometimes...
-
Why do they get the cool portraits D:

Yes, its japanese.

You need to pay attention more. Have you never had a fortune cookie? Granted that's Chinese but to us that don't speak or read either Chinese, Mandarin, Japanese, etc. they look mostly the same. You should have seen similar writing at least once.
-
"Chinese fortune cookies" are an American invention, created, I believe in Los Angeles, California, during the early 1900s. Some historians even give credit of its invention to a Japanese immigrant.
-
My point wasn't that they were made here or not. My point was that they are a very common product and would have had to have seen the language at least once. Not a history lesson.
-
Sorry, but I meant no offense nor criticism. I just found it amusing that you would use the American-born fortune cookie to illustrate your example. Really, I meant no offense. I speak and read some Japanese, and can tell the difference, spoken and written, between Chinese (both Madarin and Cantonese), Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Tagalog, etc. Again, sorry. I meant no harm.

No problem, no harm done.

If you're not trolling, stay in school. Jesus.

Obviously i'm staying in school >.< Maybe i asked the wrong question so let me try again. Is this the language they write 100% of the time or do they also use the "normal" alphabet?
-

Tune in next week when he discovers the Cyrillic alphabet.
