Today I played crucible with a friend. I'm not much of a PvP'er and I tend to stay away from competitive game-types.
I can usually stay around a 1.50 KD but I just don't enjoy the competition. After some coaxing my friend convinced me to join him. Also, I needed to level up my hunter's Crucible rank.
We played a few games until we ran into a rather annoying Titan. It wasn't until the end of the game that he finally came across his first kill. He then proceeded to Tea-bag like his life depended on it.
Thats cool.
I tea-bag.
It's funny to see how mad people become because of the push of a button.
The game ended.
We slaughtered him and his team.
Next game went a tad differently. It began with my friend going AFK and my other teammate leaving.
This left me alone against three titans, all equipped with their panic buttons.
The game went poorly. The enemy team stuck together and I could never pick them all off without a revival resulting in them swarming me.
In the end, I scored higher then either team's members, but we still lost.
Instantaneously, the tea-bagging Titan left, then sent me two messages consisting of how he proved I'm a "pussy" and how I suck at this game.
I simply replied stating that he left immediately after a rather unfair win and still in the end could not match my score. He then sent me message after message until I blocked him.
No big deal right? Just an idiot being an idiot.
This then happened with 4 other players over the course of the night.
Seriously, Jesus Christ the people in this game are grumpy as hell. They barely pull a win and declare themselves king of the world.
Not only that, but they NEED to make sure everyone knows.
Grow up.
That is all.
-Edit: No angry people do not bother me. I do not take it personally, nor does anything they say offend me. I'm old enough to understand that some people are just THAT competitive and lack the respect they should have for others.
I'm just amazed by the sheer amount of these people that can find me in one night.

Edited by TheArtist: 12/1/2014 1:07:49 PMCompetition is like war. It brings out the very best in some people.... ...and it brings out the very worst in others. I think part of the problem is that the process of playing team sports (generally) teaches you to rein in that sort of really toxic, unsportsmanlike behavior. But less people are playing team sports these days, and many who play these FPS games don't have any experience at them at all. So they have all this competitive energy...an no one who's ever insisted that they have to respect certain limits and boundaries. I know it feels personal when these kids are acting like jack@sses, but its NOT personal. They're just insecure, and they (dont) deal with that insecurity by lashing out at others...and you just happened to be the person standing there at the moment. Would have happened to anyone else, had they been there.
