So THORN and VEX are now the ultimate exotics
So after the update came out I immediately took off to clash to test out both weapons THORN: faster reload, nine bullets, faster handling, 2 shots plus Mark Of D to kill. VEX MYTHO: Returned to old glory, It singes people like bee-outch, lower mag size not a big deal!. So lets discuss, are these two the best now or is there still something better?.

6 RepliesMytho was honestly fine with the nerf in my opinion. Its recoil and lack of effective range is probably the reason why people think it sucks. Well for a hunter like me I'm feeling like Mytho was made for us hunters ;) and that now that Mytho is buffed, damn I really don't know how this is going to turn out. However I can guarantee you that with adaptation, me and other fellow fully upgraded Mytho-users will have our time to rise.

4 RepliesThorn kills is pretty much the same as any other legendary HCs. I wish people would just stop assuming it would be a staple weapon in PvP just because it got a buff. TDYK still has a higher impact and slightly faster reload.

Idk about thorn, but the Vex is gonna be great for PVE because of its damage boost. The thing I am not sure about is when IB comes back and the Vex does 30ish more damage than everything else.

5 RepliesIt's not as good as TLW but that's just personal preference. TLW just drops people to quick. I don't have perfect balance on Thorn yet though so maybe that'll be the game changer

10 RepliesI don't really understand why people are convincing themselves that Thorn is great. It has low impact resulting in a fairly bad time to kill, the mag is still kind of small, and its range isn't much better than TDYK or LHF since both have range upgrades. It has a niche in PvP corner shooting, but it's not very versatile. It can hold down a few specific points on the map well, but it's hard to use for capturing a point and in a straight up gunfight at typical range TLW still beats it by a considerable margin.

I'm definitely going to max out Thorn now. The buff is very much welcomed. It now holds one more bullet than The Last Word with roughly the same reload speed. Nice.

3 RepliesI just used my Thorn in PVP and YES it is much better. It's quicker to handle and more bullets and I believe the DoT damage before was 3 per tick, now it's 7. Thank you Bungie

1 ReplyThorn and Vex have always been a decent choice, Vex had same damage as leveled suros but far less accuracy and range, Thorns DoT is the definition of "If I'm going down, you're coming down with me!". But Suros still wins over vex simply because of it's accuracy. However, now that hard light can shoot in a straight line it's now a top contender. In the end, as long as you don't sit in a corner with ice breaker the entire match you have a chance with anything.

4 RepliesAll hand cannons take three to four shots to kill. And I think the DoT was fine. The reload and magazine size needed a slight buff.

17 RepliesYes indeed... And I'm totally fine with it. Played a few matches, and there were definitely some Vex's. But I wasn't getting mauled by them. they were beatable, but they also gave a beating. Feels more like it should be. Also, Thorn is now perfect. However....I feel people are gonna cry about the DoT ticks. No bother, it's all better now. And I got killed by a few Bad Juju's. That felt good.
