Why did the clones kill all the Jedi? Because in the clone wars, they were honorable and would not betray the Jedi. So what do u think?

  • They were genetically altered to obey commands and underwent strict training to follow orders and remain loyal to the Republic. Some actually believed they were betrayed. Others were simply following orders. But some had grown too close to their generals and refused to betray them.

  • Oh yah like on the clone wars it was that implant in their brains...

  • I never actually watched a whole season. But now I'm thinking I may have to. That "implant" completely ruins prior knowledge of the clones for me. Many of us just assumed it was genetic or whatever.

  • I have bitched about the implant thing ever since its existence was made aware to me. TCW '08 series is infamous for breaking previously established canon, contradicted tons of shit, and in general making stupid ideas. In the previously established lore the reason was that the Fett Clones were genetically altered so that they would be more loyal, follow orders better, and be less rogue like Fett was; that's what the Null ARC Troopers were, clones w/o the alterations making them more willing to accept orders, as they were of the first batch made.

  • Exactly, like when did Anakin get an apprentice. He was still learning.

  • That was possibly part of the point. The Council saw that Obi-Wan wasn't really helping rein Anakin in, and as such figured that having to deal with mini-him would be a good lesson, as well as help with the "letting go" thing of theirs..

  • During the middle of a battle while Obi Wan and Anakin were working together to bring an end to the conflict. Because that makes sense to send a brand new Padawan into a warzone to begin apprenticeship under a Jedi Knight that's got a not so stellar reputation and has no good teaching habits, and routinely is sent on high-risk missions.

  • It was like a parasite worm in the brain, and when Order 66 was given, it awoke the worm and it moved into the brain and took over the clones. But one clone had his awoken on accident before order 66 and he killed a jedi. It was pretty interesting.
