If you have Raid Gear and Raid Weapons, there's no need to use Marks on anything before the patch, all inferior weapons and gear. Now that we can get materials, we can upgrade all our superior Exotics and Raid weapons faster. Long story short, Marks for Mats are for real End Game players. :3
