If you want Crucible gear, then play PVP.
If you want Vanguard gear, then play PVE.
I don't see the problem. Sure, with the faction vendors, I get it - but the gear from the Crucible vendors should be exclusive for people who play PVP.
But since it seems you only play patrol, you don't really have any need for better gear in the first place.

I have barely touched PvP (less than 10,000 medal score). I haven't levelled up any faction higher than rank 3. But i have 6 dead orbit weapons, 3 FWC, and 3 NM. Mainly nightfall awards. You don't have to PvP to get faction gear.
-
Didn't say you did - you just need to play PVP to buy anything from faction vendors that requires marks, since for some reason they only accept crucible marks, which is dumb since you don't need to play PVP to gain rep with them.
-
I'm just addressing your first line of your last post. Faction gear AND crucible gear can be awarded without playing PvP.
-
And they are exclusive to pvp we didnt get any rep in crucible for turning in those mats only got the marks which I was fine with...I didnt want the crucible gear....but with this damn update they took away the faction gear
-
And I said that I agree that's a problem.
-
You are an idiot. You should not post ever again.
-
Seeing as you couldn't come with a better argument than resorting to insults, you might to think again before calling anyone stupid.
-
I thought about it again and I concluded that you're still an idiot.

Thanks for the great advice. BTW, what percentage should my Patrols be at before I try to obtain better gear? How many PvP games and strikes do I need to do first? What about the raid, should I wait to get better gear after I play the raid a few dozen times first? Is it against the rule to do too many Public Events in a row? I just want to know since you must have the correct Destiny playbook. I don't want to go against how you should correctly play Destiny. I don't want to get in trouble with Bungie for playing Destiny the way I want to play it. Wow, you really have me worried I will be banned for doing mostly patrols, farming and Public Events. If I do get banned for playing Destiny the wrong way I apologize to all you experts who play it the correct way. Woe is me!

Edited by ChrisDV: 12/2/2014 12:42:28 PMWay to try and make a strawman argument, dumbass. If you're playing patrols only, you simply don't need higher level gear since enemies never rise above 20 outside of missions with the heroic modifier. I didn't say anything about any other modes, or the "right" way to play. Get your head out of your ass & learn how to read.
