Dude, I'm not the biggest fan of PvP either, but I don't think Bungie caters to PvP players over PvE players at all. All the new DLC is PvE content, the only way to get to the level cap is through PvE (minus the limited Iron Banner week), all the best legendary gear comes through PvE.
I get it- you want access to faction gear without having to play PvP and you're pissed about the changes. You're entitled to play the way you want to play- you paid for the game after all. But if you're going to "get back at Bungie" by entering PvP matches and ruin that experience for everyone else, not only is that petty and immature, but it's probably a good way to get banned from the Crucible, thus completely removing any chance at that PvP faction gear you covet so much yet don't want to play PvP to get. The people who enjoy PvP also paid for the game and are entitled to play it without someone intentionally stepping in and throwing matches out of spite.
The game is designed to be played a certain way for different rewards. Part of that is getting in the crucible and earning marks for the faction gear. I think you just might have to suck it up and jump in. Hey, you might even start to enjoy it once you learn the maps and get a little experience with it.
