80/20 is quite the exaggeration, especially for a game that's about to get another raid in a week or so.
I don't see why they removed the option to get crucible stuff from the resource trade, but it always seemed unnecessary to me and was rarely discussed. It's not that offensive.
Why do players need crucible gear, just curious because I've been ignoring it since day 1. I thought the other faction had enough gear for us.

The vendors are 80/20. It is broken when you can get rep from PVE for the faction, but not be able to buy anything. It would be like the crucible QM only taking Vanguard marks.
-
But you don't get marks for resources, only rep. And now that you can easily attain a ton of materials, then trade them in for rep right after is kind of cheap as far as leveling your faction. It's obvious why they removed it. Now if you took the time and went and farmed your mats and then traded them in, that's one thing. But buying mats and trading it for rep is the same as just buying rep. Kinda ruins actually working for something.
-
Didn't think of that, buying rep wouldn't be cool at all IMO.
-
Yeah, I'm sure they removed it so you couldn't exploit the crap out of it. Lvl 99 crucible rep in 3 days, Quartermasters HATE him!! Click here to find out why!

Need the crucible marks for all factions except vanguard... Need access to other faction vendors to tweak personal armory so I can have every type of damage in every category now instead of waiting on the luck of the drop.
-
Ahh, thanks. I've only done Vanguard, that makes sense. I haven't had a void legendary sniper rifle drop yet, might check that out. If I wait much longer I'll probably never do it.
-
I'm guessing it is because the faction vendors only take crucible marks.
-
Cause you need crucible marks to buy gear and weapons from ALL other factions. That does suck!
