Vanguard marks to materials
100 marks = 200 materials. Do it three times a week. 600 materials.
Nobodies forcing you to crucible. Unless you wanted crucible marks for factions, then well yes maybe.

Before the most recent patch people were able to exchange materials for marks. You could make this exchange with either vanguard or the pvp vendors. He is arguing that now that this ability is gone, bungie is forcing him to do something he hates, aka pvp, to get crucible marks.
