For the first time on platforms like Xbox and PlayStation, Developers have access to real time statistics and can use those statistics make an an impact on a game after it ships.
Change is scary, I completely understand and I am hesitant of the changes made too. That being said, give these changes an honest try and then complain. 24 hrs is not enough time to completely grasp the scope of these changes.
The fact that you are commenting on this forum, shows you are invested in this game (some might even say addicted), so experience these changes and provide some constructive feedback. Additionally, these changes a not as easier as flipping a switch. Coding anything takes vast amounts of time and testing (Code reacting to existing code, is not predictable).
Just some food for thought

I agree that people shouldn't complain about small things with patches; coding is difficult, and like you said change is scary. However, I don't need to take 24 hours to decide that I still don't want to do Crucible in order to purchase Faction gear (factions being implied as neutral since they take both Vanguard and Crucible rep), and now I am forced to play Crucible to get Faction stuff now that the materials for marks loophole has been removed.

Edited by Beyond Evolution: 12/2/2014 4:56:24 PM24 hrs or 24 days, they still removed the only alternate way to get crucible marks. A way that had no negative impact on anyone's preferred play style and gave people a way to aquire faction gear even if they didn't want to run crucible. I just want to be clear on one thing, I like the changes in the patch. I'm just irritated that they took a useful feature away that only needed to have reputation/glimmer gains removed. Instead, they took the option away entirely.
