@ bungie; after just one day post patch, four out of top-ten trending feedback threads with more than 1700! Responses directly concern your obvious mistake here.
Please admit to yourselves that you made a mistake and return the option of getting marks for farmed materials.
You're really alienating your pve gamers here.
I thought you said again and again this game is for everyone?

Yeah at this point it should be pretty clear that it was a bad move for PvP and PvE players the last thing I want to do is make someone's game experience bad because I am in a match that I do not really care to be in & doing nothing to help the people that love playing it ....
