The first Starwars movie (the first one ever created) is about Luke discovering the force, saving Leia and destroying the Death Star. The Phantom Menace is about the tensions between the Trade Federation and the Republic and the happenings on Naboo (and the discovery of Anakin Skywalker). Obi Wan was picked up from that stew planet by Qui Gon Jinn.
