It is true that the internment camps only lasted from 1942 to 46 but the entire population who was interned wasn't forgiven for a crime they did not commit until the early 1980's. The point is that it isn't only black people who have suffered in the world. Open your ears and be considerate of those around you. Edit: plus black slaves were treaded better in the 1700 being that they were considered valuable property. When Lincoln freed the slaves they were no longer valuable to the racist south and were treated even worse.
