HM VoG isnt fun anymore
All because of the templar fix.
Unless you have an experienced raid team and good weapons the hard mode raid is an excruciatingly painful experience.
Templar is easily the hardest part of the raid. Without the cheese my raid team and I get stuck at templar for hours sometimes. We never cheesed atheon or NM Templar. We only cheesed HM templar to get to the rest of the raid without wanting to throw our ps4s out the window.
The hard raid is no longer worth it imo.
Hopefully bungie get things right with crotas end.
Edit: What I'm trying to say is that HM templar is harder than it should be and sometimes causes so much frustration that I would rather not do the raid at all. I have beat HM templar many times legit. Just sharing my opinion about the fight.

Reading through the responses has made me realize how toxic this community is.

Though I did see some light in the darkness.

Edit: I want to make it clear that I don't like to cheese or ever relied on the cheese. My raid Team and I are very experienced in the VoG and have beat HM templar many times. I just feel templar needs a little tweeking.
If you think I'm just a scrub and I should "get gud" then that's your opinion and I will respect it.

I don't think the Templar is the most difficult part...I think Gatekeeper is harder, things have gone south for my team so many times there.

I kinda feel the opposite. Did two hard raids last night and it was the most fun I've had with them in a while. Then again, my clan fireteams are pretty solid.

4 RepliesThe hard mode raid should be hard. It's simply not going to be done by anything less that a skilled and organised team of raid veterans. I wouldn't want it any other way.

The Templar isn't hard to fight at all. I beat the raid on hard for the first time last night, and it took my team about 20 minutes and 2 tries. And if you're having difficulties, what do you expect Bungie to do? Make it so you can push him off? It's a cheap way to kill him

5 RepliesPeople have just forgotten how or never done templar legit. My team tried out a few strategies last night on our first attempt and it seemed as though it would be daunting. We settled on a sniping approach and it went quickly from there. Remember how hard legit Atheon was the first couple of times? Players will learn and improve and it will become "easy".

The hm raid is supposed to be hard. The fact that we could run through the entire raid in less than an hour is proof they had failed in making it a challenge. There are lots of good strats for hm Templar, just do research

Your team seems like they never ran Templar legit. Just like every other part of the raid it gets easier with experience and upgrades. Look on YouTube for easy strategies to kill Templar. But yeah, dark below comes out next week so don't worry about it.

You are kidding right? I joined 2 rando groups yesterday we beat hard mkde start to finish in an hour 15 max. Templar took us 2 tries ea. He didnt even get engraged.

Once RNG kept screwing me over the entire raid wasn't fun. It felt like a chore. Once I got to level 30 I stopped doing all parts of the raid except Atheon unless a friend asked for help.

I feel like the templar fight is a benchmark for skill and cooperation now. after clearing the templar, the gatkeepers and atheon were so much easier , but i feel it was because my fireteam had plenty of time to warm up and find how best to communicate and work with one another. i dont understand why they didnt fix the cheese sooner, i hated the idea to begin with.
