Heres the bit I don't get. I can get, MAX, 100 Vanguard a week. Lets go with me being one of those people who only pvp's if they really have to and doesn't particularly enjoy it. So I wont be doing any crucible to get marks. With all that in mind heres how my week looks at the end if I just want to get PVP weapons and armor = O Vanguard as they got turned into Crucible through material exchange, 20 Crucible as I don't PVP, 200 Crucible rep from exchange turn ins.
Yes, could cap to 100 Crucible for the week, but only purely through farming materials which takes a good bit of time and gets people out into the public places enjoying playing the games side they like most. I would also have had to go out and cap my Vanguard. Id hardly say I was finding holes in the game to make it harder. The only way this would be a glitch/loop is if it was all a 1/1 exchange.
Okay, maybe Bungie didn't like the exchange - so tell people and put it in the notes. All it seems like now is hypocrisy, cant get pvp stuff without pvping but getting world exploration mats with pvp currency without exploring is okay. Was bad enough that you can get Vanguard rank while pvp'ing but not the other way around.
Such a small thing yet so badly handled.
