I suspect they couldn't make it easier to get materials and still have materials traded for marks. It's make it too easy/quick to get those crucible marks I guess.
It just sucks that now all those PVP items on virtually all the vendors in the Tower are only there for people who PVP now.
If there is any question as to whether this is a PVP game or a PVE game, look at the number of vendors in the tower that require crucible marks for wepaons/armor and those that require vanguard marks for weapons/armor.
It's not right. It should be a PVE game with PVP tacked on. Not the other way around.

Understand you point. I guess they could have tweaked the exchange rate though to balance this out?

Haha, 'PVP items are only there for people who PVP now'. Look at that sentence, say it out loud a couple of times. Does it start to make sense? Maybe they are supposed to be for PVP players only? Because they are PVP items.

Edited by Kriegar3: 12/3/2014 10:57:07 AMI call them PVP items because they required marks which were primarily obtained via PVP but could also, previously be obtained through exchanging PVE materials for PVP marks. the problem is the faction vendors. You can obtain reputation with them in PVE but can only buy items from them with PVP tokens. That is really what's wrong here. I fully accept that there should be a crucible vendor and the items on it should only be obtained within the Crucible, that's fine. But the faction vendors should not grant reputation via PVE if they can't offer rewards to PVE players outside of rank up packages. My Dead Orbit reputation on my Titan is 17 I think? I've never worn my Dead Orbit mark in the Crucible. Fact is though all the 'PVP' items are shit and if that is all that people who exclusively PVP have access to then I feel sorry for them. They should raid and get some good guns for free :)

I completely agree with you that we should be able to buy stuff from the faction vendors with both crucible and vanguard marks. I never understood why that is not the case right now. I enjoy both the Raid and PvP. They are both great aspects of the game. The rest of PvE doesn't really appeal much to me. But the Raid is an awesome experience every time.
