The Hunter lands from the Transmat and instantly starts running for high ground his Ice Breaker on his shoulders. Not wanting his prey to notice him he sets his camouflage to work as he lays among the high grasses atop a boulder that peers over a large expanse of land. “I will win this and with any dirty tricks that I have to use I will,” he mumbles to himself as he looks down the scope spying for his target. Not have shown up yet the Hunter shrugs mentally. That was fine with him he is used to waiting, after all he was a Hunter and the Titan was his Prey.
A few clicks to the south of the Hunter walking towards the Hunters location. The Titan stomps through the forest Assault Rifle in his hand and his Shotgun across his back. He was going to finish this Hunter before he has time to even think about what hit him. Moving past the brush and fauna of the planet he keeps his eyes peeled for the man. Moving through his first area he sees high cliffs with a trail between and sets down it.
On the other side of that trail lays the Hunter as his scope watches the only entrance to the area. Deep breathing to keep his breathing even he notices some brush move and out comes the Titan moving forward quickly looking around down the barrel of his Assault Rifle. Grinning ever so slightly the Hunter lets off a shot at the Titan.
As the Titan makes past the brush he begins to move quickly down the area looking down the barrel of his gun to shoot first ask questions later. The unmistakable sound of the Ice Breaker ringing out reaches his ears. He begins to take cover as the shot flies at him and breaks through his shield and scratches his armor. Diving behind a jutting rock he waits for his shields to recharge. That damn Ice Breaker he should have known he would have used it. Knowing that he is pinned down the Titan readies his rifle. The good thing about that shot is he knows where that Hunter is now. It’s now or never the Titan thinks and looks over to fire his rifle at the Hunters location.
“Why, hello there,” the Hunter says as he looks down the barrel of a hand cannon aimed straight for the Titans face.
The Titan barrels to the side as the Hunter starts shooting after the Titan, with Demon firing off rounds of his own the battlefield is now alight with fire. The Titan ducks behind a rock just as a bullet hits the rock next to him. Looking at the bullet his mouth drops, he is using Thorn bullets; those -blam!-ing things will not only kill him but hurt enough to make it agony. The Hunter was being serious about this and he knew he needed to be even more serious now. Pulling out his shotgun he cocks it and readies himself, it was now or never.
The Hunter ducks behind the cover of a pillar and reloads his Thorn, dirty trick he knew this, but he was adamant to win this. He kneels down and readies himself it was now or never he knew he needed to end this quickly or else that win will not be as easily grabbed.
Spinning out of cover he sees the Titan barreling down the landscape at him and the Hunter fires off several rounds. The Titan just keeps running as the bullets pierce through his armor and skin. “What the hell is wrong with you!?” the Hunter exclaims as he sees this just as he reloads his Thorn and readies it the Titan had reached him without him noticing as he was in a hurry reloading.
“Checkmate,” the Titan pumps a full round right into the chest of the Hunter as he goes off his feet and lands on his back a few feet back. The Titan shoulders his shotgun and kneels on the ground. Cursing he pulls the sharp bullets from his body and looks to the Hunter still sprawled on the ground. The Titan stands and looks around for the Hunters Ghost. Odd he didn’t see it, his thoughts cut out and go black.
Waking up a little later the Hunter lays near him and Angel has her hands on her hips looking over the two. “I swear men and their guns,” she says as she shakes her head.
Confused Demon looks up to Angel confused. “Wait what happened?” he gives her a look to tell her to explain now.
Shrugging she sighs and recounts the battle he remembers until the point he blanked out. “So Envy was laying there and you looked around for his Ghost he took that opportunity to give you a head shot since you were already almost dead,” she shrugs and points to Envy still out on the bed near him. “Though he ended up dying seconds after so it was a draw I saw it all happen and came down to revive you both,” she says as if it was almost a bother for her.
Grunting slightly he sighs he will have to settle it with the Hunter another day.
Nudging him slightly Angel gives him a look, “When you gunna tell him?” she gives him a knowing look. “When are you going to tell him you lied about our marriage so you could hide the fact you like men and not just any men him?” giving an eye roll, “I mean it was kind of obvious but this Hunter is oblivious to any of that ya know?” she kind of asks the Titan. “He deserves to know the truth especially after showing you today what he’s willing to go through to get what he wants.” She crosses her arms and awaits the response from Demon.
Sighing he rubs the back of his head and looks to the Warlock. “One day I will but not day, sorry Angel.” He stands up and looks over the sleeping Hunter one day but it wouldn’t be anytime soon. He wasn’t ready to think about any of that right now. But by the Gods it felt good to pump that shotgun right into his chest the Titan thinks as he walks out to the Tower and leaving Angel with Envy. Laughing to himself he walks out into the day wondering if he would get another chance to fight it out with Envy, as much as he doesn’t say it he really does like the guy in more than one way it would seem. “Heh, I am just a masochist I guess.” Strolling off to the gunsmith to look over his weapons he cracks his knuckles and grins. “I will win next time for sure.”
