Glimmer Cap Needs An Increase Or Taken Out

Glimmer cap definitely needs to be removed. If I'm going to spend 7k on upgrading my Exotics (20+), it's going to take HOURS of farming once I buy the Exotic shards, hellllllll no. There is no trading, there is no marketplace or auction house... why on Old Russia (Earth) is there a cap!? Just makes zero sense to me. I want to see a logical explanation as to why there is even a cap.
