How about wildlife? Not stuff such as rabbits hopping around Old Russia, but how about enemies? The grimoire talks about Ahamkara, dragon like beings on Venus and how people hunted them. Why not include enemies like this? It could be a new way to get certain upgrade materials, or new unique ones. Bosses could become more unique, being animal like instead of humanoids with guns. They would introduce unique combat strategies, and much more. Dragons that fly? Guerilla tactic enemies? How about fighting and entire herd? There could also be passive wildlife, nonharmful. How cool would it be to watch the natural order and such play out as Ahamkara swoop down and pick up small animals? There could be entire new areas on existing planets along with on new planets. How about areas not reached or tamed during the Golden Age? Natural terrain, unique locals, all untouched and well.. "wild".
Just an idea, some feedback would be nice.
TL:DR:
-Animal like enemies
-Areas untouched by people at all, natural and well.. alien. New, unique, awe-inspiring (think stepping onto the Halo ring the first time.)
-Hunting!
-New bosses and opportunities!
-New enemy tactics and strategies!
-Circle of life!

Since I first saw Destiny in 2013, I had the idea of being out in the wild in a firefight and a herd of animals comes straight toward you. Other ideas would be a protective mother bear letting you know you got too close to her cubs.
-
How bout a forest with passive creatures and aggressive creatures and you'll get XP and loot drops for killing them. And during the night, you become the prey... O.O dun dun DUN!!
-
Drawing board for Destiny 2.
-
Well, the Ahamkara were hunted to extinction, as mentioned in several Grimoire cards, but I agree that both passive and hostile mobs would make it much more diverse.
-
Bump. With bounty too, like hunt it then rewards u with mats
-
I'm positive the Ahamkara will be a future update. If you look in the sky while on Venus and at the Tower, you will see them soaring around.
-
How about coordinated enemies? I'd love to be ambushed by the fallen...
-
Forget wildlife can they at least randomize the enemy locations or kind of enemy in the usual locations.... That would offer a vast improvement and add more excitement in of in itself....

Monster Hunter doesn't come out until next year

-
last bump and then i'll let this get buried by those complaining about exotics.
-
Set up "Excursion missions" Where you go explore unnamed, undocumented areas, with the chance of stumbling across unique items / creatures
-
I want them to add animals like rabbits and deer to the Cosmodrome just to make it more realistic. No snakes though. That would be terrifying.
-
shameless bump
-
yes on animals only if you can kill them, and have them behave according to their species, if hostile, make them charge you when provoked, if passive, make em run away like monty python
-
Sigh... Bump but won't ever happen
-
This sounds perfect. The game world needs something to "bring it alive" in my opinion.

Edited by KARMA: 12/4/2014 3:30:46 PMI choose the "this sounds stupid" option, even though I felt that was harsh. It's not a stupid idea, I just don't think it's coming to this game is all. We have birds on Earth. I'm pretty sure you can see an Ahamkara on Veuns in the sky some times, or at least that's what people are speculating that flying thing is.Would it add more flavour to the environment to have the occasional wild animal come across your path as an environemental art piece? Sure. Not at the expense of increasing server load however. As for "wild animal" bosses or creatures to kill and kill, again I just don't think that is the direction Bungie was aiming for. Would I cry and rant if it was put in? No. Will I petition to have it put in? No. EDIT - nevertheless, don't stop with the ideas. You never know what Bungie might see and decide is a good idea! :)
-
Sounds good.

Your TL; DR was TL so I DR
-
Right? The only wildlife see n are: Future birds (2D) Butterflies/dragonflies Bats
-
Thank you for the feedback guys! Personally I believe Venus could be gigantic and full of wildlife just based on the jungle aspect of it.
-
Take Ahamkara off the list. They were hunted nearly to extinction and gave Guardians great power. It's be nice to fight one and get like 5 minutes of a buff, but the occurrence of this event (due to them being nearly extinct) would have to be so incredibly low that it wouldn't even matter. Probably like once every week, if even that.

Bump bump bump

Great idea, sadly this studio is so far disconnected from the players that this amazing concept will more than likely never be applied.
