Not sure if this is true or not, but from the picture Bungie showed, the Exotic Shard replaced the Exotic Engrams he once sold. If this is true... I personally think that sucks. Motes of Light didn't really serve that great a purpose until Iron Banner was changed, and even then I didn't waste that many Motes to get my "perfect" weapons. I was in fact saving Motes of Light until Xur was going to sell a chest engram to try and get Heart of the Praxic Fire (the unsellable chest). I have almost 115 engrams stashed, enough for 5 engrams. I had enough for 4 last weekend, but he had Gauntlets, which would just get me a 4th pair of Samebreakers again, or something for a Titan/Hunter, which I also already have. So I was hoping he'd eventually sell chest engrams, but if he isn't selling engrams any more... what use is there for motes of light? Keep in mind, I don't know if this is ACTUALLY true, I'm just going off of what I saw recently in their own picture. It's possible they just made a random picture with Xur and were showing off the new Exotic changes, but I wouldn't be surprised if they got rid of the Exotic Engrams. EDIT: It's come to my attention he's selling exotic boots in the picture, so it's possible this picture comes from next week, when the DLC drops (and he will have the new exotics available). However, that still doesn't guarantee the existence of Exotic Engrams still....
