I've completed normal a few times, but still no hard completion. :\

Just go to DestinyLFG and look for an Atheon Checkpoint. I didn't even do hard just Hard Atheon and got vex my first attempt.

well you wont likely go through it if 29 unless you get carried, because confluxes and gatekeeper. you u won't do any damage to praetorians or any other majors for that matter.

Edited by DigiOps: 12/6/2014 9:50:19 PMI've been up to Atheon. Most of the trouble there came from the group I was with being obsessed with pushing him off post patch. We defended confluxes a man down. A void Deviant Gravity with field scout helped. I'm not saying I didn't have trouble or it was a perfect run, but I held my own for the most part. Granted, at this point with new legendary gear coming it makes me wonder if there's a point to trying for it at all anymore besides getting the Mythoclast for the collection.

so you got to the easiest part besides oracles and didn't complete it? Should have gotten another group because atheon is easy, we beat it with three 29s. regarding the vex armour, it will because i doubt the new vanguard/crucible 30 gear will have special ammo+, heavy ammo+, increase special weapon reload and inverse shadow. It will probably be lazy gear like the IB gear like increase auto rifle ammo, fusion etc. It will likely look the same as the prior 27 light versions except buffed with 30 light as well. The only thing different will be that they need "accomodations" telling people this will have people with 30 xp away from every faction, so there will be a huge influx of 30s. The Vex will be a pretty common item eventually because of the new weapon buffs, and how easy Atheon is with the current weapons.

Like I said, they were obsessed with cheesing post patch. It was senseless. Your comment on it is useless to me and comes off as condescending. I do like how you say I won't get far as a 29 without being carried yet half your fireteam was 29s. Good job trying to sound superior. You [i]really[/i] succeeded. Probably not general purpose ammo increases, no. It'll likely follow the trend of current vanguard/crucible/faction gear and give bonuses for specific weapons. That doesn't matter too much when most the weapons you use have field scout and ammo bonuses don't do any good when you have maximum ammo capacity regardless. Did I not say that I wanted it for the collection? Must you belittle every part of my comment?

Like I said, Atheon was not hard. We did Atheon Checkpoint and rightfully so being that the VoG is effectively dead content. The new vendor gear has 33 light, a huge middle finger to hardcore players. But whatever. The raid gear is pointless to get, absolutely and entirely. So is doing the raid anymore other than getting Mythoclast, which you basically get equivalent garbage every run if you don't get it being that the gear is completely useless. So yeah, hearing the new news you are entirely correct. A sad day when Destiny already has a piece of dead content, one of the most best pieces of Destiny completely useless outside of exploiting Atheon Checkpoints for vex now. The work up until that point is worthless, I will be surprised if there are groups still willing to do it now.
