I think the problem lies elsewhere. My issue, is I don't play PvP because of the Internet issues. Now to get legendary gear, you've got a play to get the marks, an get higher enough with the faction to purchase it. For me, I can't get a game to stay connected long enough to do any real scoring. An don't come back with 'port forwarding' that's not the issue. As I have a PS4 & One, an one console gets the errors an the other don't! Funny same modem, same copper wire connection to the exchange, same line to bungie. So prior to the update, a player who couldn't play the PvP due to what ever reason, could spend their time instead running around getting material from the nodes, or loot chest. Then when they have acquired 50units they can trade them for marks, yes I know you can do strikes for them too, but a weapon costed 150marks an 120&65marks for armour, but your limited to 100/week. Now you trade the marks for the components you need. You do patrols for components, you open loot chests for components, you can still harvest the nodes. But the only way to get marks is via PvP. Hmmm? Weapons, who cares about the reset? What I find the problem, a standard rare would do 260+ points of damage, a legendary should do more, yes 300, but an exotic should be more, but wait it does 300? Why! It's an exotic, it should do more? In Far Cry 3&4, their exotic do either more damage, or have more attachments than there standard. But with Far Cry, you can have more than one equipped, destiny nah, only one..
